- Founded in 1820, D'Oliveiras is still owned by the same family. It is one of the few madeira houses that survived the ravages of phylloxera and we are all luckier for it. Madeira is one of the only wines that actually benefits from exposure to air, so these wines will drink beautifully months and even years after they've been opened. Terrantez is one of the rarest varietals on Madeira and this is a stellar example.
