- The prolonged time in the wood gives this Port an Madeira-like character, with toasted notes Very intense and complex toasty notes, combined with tobacco and dried fruit. Very concentrated with excellent structure in the mouth withnotes of English cake, fig and dried fruits. The never ending finish has a bit of a sherry character, almost like a bittersweet, smoky Palo Cortado. Absolutely gorgeous! Ê
