The 2016 Tapada do Barao Alentejo Tinto is a blend of Aragonez (Tempranillo), Alicante Bouschet and Syrah. Tapada do Barao is darkly colored, juicy and full of dark berry flavor. Plush and velvety on the palate with notes of pepper, chocolate and a long finish with great richness of fruit. The producer, Granadeiro Vinhos, is located in Alentejo, the large region south of Lisbon that spans the country from the Atlantic ocean on the east to the Spanish border on the west. It is also home to most of the cork trees found in Portugal.
