The Hacienda Monasterio estate is located in the valley of the Duero River, halfway between Pesquera and Valbuena de Duero, in the province of Valladolid, in what is known as the Golden Mile. Located on a southern hillside, the estate covers 160 hectares, 78 of wich are planted with vines.

Crafted by mastermind Peter Sisseck of Pingus fame, Hacienda Monasterio is a certified organic, no expense spared Ribera that was originally planted with cuttings from Vega Sicilia some 20-plus years ago, and is producing some of the region's great bottlings now that those vines are mature. Since the property's founding in 1991, Hacienda Monasterio continues to innovate and seek new ways to make wines that embody the region's potential for power combined with elegance and finesse.
