4 Monos was started by four friends in the Gredos mountains and we've been carrying them since their first vintage. The wines have gotten better and better every year and the strength of the 2018 vintage really shows here. Their Tinto is predominately Garnacha and this offers great juicy fruit but with wonderful stony, mineral tension. It's just flat out tasty.

"The red 2018 GR-10 Tinto contains a little less Carinena and Syrah (10% and 20%, respectively) and, therefore, a little more Garnacha than the 2017 I tasted next to it. 2018 is a more complete vintage, with perfect ripening of the grapes, better yields and more balance in the wines. The fermentation and elevage were similar, with native yeasts, 90% full clusters and nine months in different sized barrels and a 4,200-liter oak vat. 2018 is clearly a great vintage, very complete, and the wines have more of everything: They are still young but are going to be superb, and you should wait on them while you drink your 2017s. This is like a more complete version of 2016, perhaps a vintage that is going to require more time. This is drinkable, but it's going to get better in bottle. 30,000 bottles produced.
