- Laura Lorenzo is one of our favorite winemakers in Spain. Located in Ribeira Sacra (although her wines are not DO), in the Bibei River valley she farms a number of scattered plots throughout the hillsides. Farming biodynamically and allowing natural fermentation her wines have a clarity and brightness that speaks for themselves. The Tabernario is a new wine (and we hope she won't have to make it again as she had to in 2018). 2018 was a very difficult vintage and she lost a lot of fruit in the vineyards that would normally produce her higher end single vineyard bottlings. She decided to combine the fruit that she had into this single bottling and it is delicious. Bright and tangy red fruit with notes of wildness and mineral grip. Really pretty floral lift and a long, tasty fruit driven finish.
