Jardim da Estrela is an aromatic and approachable red, named after the Estrela mountain range, located on the east side of the Dao region of Portugal. Made from a blend of Touriga Nacional (40%), Alfrocheiro (30%), and Tinta Roriz (30%), the vines grow among eucalyptus and pine forests in granitic terrain. One of the best things about this wine is how aromas of eucalyptus and pine have found their way from the growing environment into the finished wine.
Jardim da Estrela didn't spend any time in oak and exhibits a delightful fresh fruit character. Fragrant aromas of wild berries, juicy black plum, and red currant are balanced by peppery notes and herbaceous hints of fennel, pine and eucalyptus. Call us when you want a case!
