The return of our favorite Iberian rose, Vallado's 100% Touriga Nacional vinho rosé, is an annual rite of passage for us.  And this year, it comes right in the nick of time for a long, hot, thirsty summer.  

Vallado, from Portugal's Douro region, was named as one of the world's top 100 producers by Wine & Spirits Magazine, and this lovely wine showcases their artistry.

The wine offers a nose of wild herbs, red fruits, pomegranate, and hints of lime blossoms. It has great intensity of flavor with a refreshing stony, mineral note on the finish.  Some have said it drinks like rosés from Bandol easily twice the price.

This is a great companion for fresh greens/salad nicoise, boquerones or any of our fabulous tinned fish options, or anything lively and sprightly!  When not a companion to food, it is very quaffable goes well with the companionship of others.
