- Laderas Del Norte is 100% estate grown Tempranillo heavily influenced by its hillside calcareous clay soils. After harvest the grapes spend a few days of cold maceration in stainless steel, then 12 months aging in French oak barrels, where the malolactic fermentation creates a smooth and expressive wine. The end result is a fresh, elegant wine, with an easy and well-balanced attack. The mouthfeel provides volume that finishes with a light, pleasantly sweet and toasted note, recalling those first fruit aromas in the glass. This is why many of Bodegas Arzuaga wines continue to receive scores upwards of 90 points positioning them among Spains most prestigious and of course, very memorable wines.
