The Bodegas Godeval winery is housed in the restored Xagoaza monastery and today serves as the main cultural center in the area. The Godeval "Tradicion Bodeguera" is 100% Godello from grapes grown on well-drained granite and slate soils in the Valdeorras region of Spain.Godello is the preeminent white grape in the region, and can be either rich or lean wines, and this is a tasty example of the latter style. Lean and crisp, with well-integrated acidity. Aromas and flavors of citrus, melon, and spice, with a long, mineral finish.
