The La Rioja Alta Vina Ardanza, needless to say, is some pretty special stuff. It seems every vintage is absolutely delicious and incredibly drinkable on release. This has plush richness on the palate and some structure that makes this seem younger than it really is. Plum and ripe raspberry with baking spice, leather, mineral and superb lift on the back end. This is one of those wines I don't want to stop smelling, let alone drinking. A staff and customer favorite, you cannot go wrong with this outstanding Rioja. (80% tempranillo and 20% garnacha; aged in used American oak barrels for three years).
