Menade was founded in 2005 by the siblings of the Sanz family (a family that has been growing grapes and making wine in Rueda since the 1700's). Nosso is their completely natural verdejo. They use no sulphur or copper products in the vineyards (both allowed with organic farming) and no additional sulphur in fermentation or bottling. It undergoes a spontaneous fermentation as well.
It's delicious with notes of spiced quince, melon and tangy citrus. Older locals say that it "tastes like Verdejo used to."
