Lopez de Heredia is without argument one of the great wineries of the world. They make wines the way they have since the late 1800's and age them for a substantial amount of time before release. And the wine is beautiful. It will age wonderfully for decades (speaking from experience of drinking a 1942 about a decade ago).
"The 1954 Vina Tondonia is a bit deeper in color with a lovely perfume of
Asian spices and incense. Complex, elegant, and a bit more structured
than the 1964s, this lengthy effort is still going strong!
