Pago De Los Capellanes 2018 Reserva Ribera Del Duero

Pago De Los Capellanes 2018 Reserva Ribera Del Duero - The Spanish Table

Pago De Los Capellanes 2018 Reserva Ribera Del Duero

The Reserve is made from grapes grown in clay-calcerous soils and aged for 14 months in french oak barrels followed by 22 months in the bottle. Aromas of black cherry, liquorice, smoke and forest floor. Full-bodied on the palate with firm, yet silky tannins. Decant for an hour before serving to let it open up. Delicious.

"Deep garnet in the glass, this wine offers a bouquet of black cherry, mocha and lavender. Dark berry and floral notes transition to the palate alongside caramel and herbes de Provence flavors. A framework of powerful tannins slowly drops off into a bright, fruit-filled finish." — 94 Mike DeSimone, Wine Enthusiast

Pago de los Capellanes was founded by the Rodero-Villa family in 1996. The 272-acre vineyard in the heart of Ribera del Duero is planted primarily to Tempranillo with a bit of Cabernet Sauvignon.
