Cune is one of the older houses in Rioja and their Imperial Gran Reserva is always an excellent bottle of wine. The 1990 still shows an amazing amount of freshness and youth and is showing its age very nicely. It's got notes of plum, dried cherry, tobacco and a touch of earthy notes and spice. Very nice length and a great example of older Rioja that is 30+ years young!
