Lovey dusty chalk notes on nose, then round plum and black stone fruit with a hint of licorice on the nose.  The mouth has a lovely roundness and warmth.  This 65 Carinena 35% Garnatxa blend is a fine example of the balance of finesse and power that Priorat has to offer.  This wine wonderfully balances the crunchy black fruit on the start with a warm, jammy richness brought by the Carinena on the finish.  We had it with Ossau Iraty as a cheese and I could see it go with almost any dish.
