This 100% tempranillo remains one of Spain's unsung super-wines.  It scores in the very high 90s year after year, and this vintage is no exception.  It runs deep, deep red, full of black fruit, cedar, leather, and chocolate.  If the engine of the chariot of Bacchus needed oil, this is what they would put in it.  

Wine Enthusiast lauds it, designating it a "Cellar Selection" and giving it 98 points:  "This dark-violet-red-colored wine gives off aromas of raspberry, orange zest and cocoa powder. Brilliant acidity washes across and then remains on the palate, joined by plush tannins and flavors of black cherry, pomegranate, milk chocolate, fennel pollen and lavender. Drink through 2047."
