The Soalheiro Primeiras Vinhas comes from the oldest Alvarinho vines on the estate, planted when it was first founded. A small amount of the blend spends a short while in oak, but this only comes through with a little weight on the palate, not any of the flavor. It's elegant and fresh with some impressive persistence and a richness that sneaks up on you. Really pretty.
