A juicy, fleshy masterpiece of an everyday wine made by wizard of all things Spanish wine Raul Perez.  This incantation is more earthy and bigger than the last vintage and, oh heresy, actually a tad cleaner (the '20 had a certain barnyardy funk that his vintage does not).  With even more freshness than the 2020, it remains one of the most popular red wines from Northwest Spain for us.  Jancis Robinson does a fantastic writeup of what the Ultreias are all about.  She mentions that due to popularity of this wine, production has grown to about 400,000 cases year.  Despite this relatively large volume, the wine retains an artisanal character.
